Because the MPlayer site is so packed full of game-related content it can often be hard to find exactly what you want. That's why we've put together this short guide to playing your first game on MPlayer. We'll show you were to click, what to choose and how to navigate the user interface. We recommend that you print this page out so you can refer to it while you have the MPlayer client running...
1.
Connect to EidosNet.
2.
Launch the MPlayer client from either your desktop, Start button or from a browser. You can click here to do it.
3.
A large advert is displayed, to move away from this screen you need to hit the continue button.
4.
Select the game you want to play and follow the link
5.
You will now enter the lobby for your chosen game ‚ you can choose a game to join or create your own. MPlayer refers to instances of games as 'Rooms'.
6.
Once you are in a room you can chat to anyone else in that room. Use this as an opportunity to set up parameters for your game, decide on any teams you might want etc.
7.
When you are ready to play choose 'I'm Ready'. If you created the room you can choose 'Launch Game' when everyone is ready to launch into the game. Otherwise you will have to wait for the room owner to begin the game.
8.
When in the lobbies you can toggle between the chat/lobby view and the initial list of games by pressing the Web/Chat button.
That's all there is to it. If you have a problem with the MPlayer software then please do not call EidosNet technical support ‚ the EidosNet support staff are only able to help with Internet connection problems. For help in using the MPlayer software, use the forums and help contacts contained within the MPlayer Client and on the MPlayer website at http://www.mplayer.com/support/online-guide/.![]()
